I have a unique story to tell about how the Lord changed me. I bet that you as a reader of Reach UP, you have a story to tell too – maybe a tough one. Here’s what I know about women like you and me. Some just talk about what happened to them so they can get attention. Some share so they can process how they feel. Others keep the trauma deep inside, never letting people in.
But I say, let’s get our stories out in the open to inspire others so change can happen – lasting change, courageous change! I may not like the ugly truth of my past, but I can reverse its effects. Telling my story openly helps other women to trust in Jesus, too. And that, my friends, makes it worth it all!
Whether you long to share how Jesus changed you forever or whether you’re scared to let anyone in, the Woman 2 Woman (W2W) platform is a safe space to openly tell your story (some call it a testimony) without fear. Your name is not used. We only use your initials or even make your story anonymous, if you prefer.
As the Woman 2 Woman page manager, I love posting the stories about the help, healing, and deliverance that women have experienced with Jesus because these stories are like a lighthouse for others going through tough times. Through the shining light their stories bring, God will cause someone else to have a life-changing moment! As I tell our women at Carthage Crisis Center, only God can take our “filthy rags” and make us “white as snow” through Jesus – and then “turn our ashes of mourning into beauty” (Isaiah 64:6; 61:3).
So, go ahead and tell your story. I did and it is posted for you to see on W2W. You don’t have to be perfect to tell others what God has done so far. Just tell what it was like truthfully, then focus on what God did to turn it around. Send it to me, and together we will help more women needing encouragement.
