I often listen to the Bible rather than reading it. (Thanks to the her.BIBLE app, I can listen to different women from a number of ethnicities read the New Living Translation.) While I was listening, a verse I heard made me spin around. What? I thought. Rewind.
“Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.” 1 Chronicles 16:24
Publish. Tell. Good things. Amazing things!
Excitedly I thought, That’s what we do with Reach UP!
In addition to the print magazine, we have the digital magazine on MyReachUP.org, plus all the articles from past issues. We have a growing Resource section with phone numbers where help can be found. We even have some merch. And I couldn’t be more excited about the growing number and variety of Reach UP TV shows.
Now, I am announcing another good thing we are publishing:
Reach UP Woman to Woman
Over the years, we have received stories from courageous women, weeping women, women who have battled unthinkable dangers and troubles, and have come out with God’s help on the other side. Some are still limping from their pain, but they can see the promise of a brighter future headed their way.
In the fall 2021, we printed an article that included the story of a formerly addicted young mother’s experience. That mom said that if her story would help one woman, then it would have been worth it.
Maybe you’re feeling that nudge to tell your story. Write it up. Reach UP Woman to Woman is the place to tell YOUR story of struggle and victory to help another woman. We will upload as many stories of overcoming as we receive. Find this brand new category at MyReachUP.org – and start changing lives with your story!
Unlike Reach UP’s print magazine, the stories for Reach UP Woman to Woman will not be thoroughly edited or translated into another language. To protect identities, initials will be used instead of names. If you are in a program, feel free to give them a shout-out and even ask your director to include a comment in your story.
