Fun with food:<\/strong> Choose a food that is round and red (or green) and grows on a tree. It makes a crunchy sound when you bite it. It can be juicy and sometimes we make a juice out of it.<\/p>\nWe need 3 meals a day to get the nutrients we need.<\/p>\n
If it\u2019s a long time between meals, snacks from the list above are a good idea!<\/p>\n
Save things like chips, candies, cookies, juice, and soda for once in awhile treats.<\/p>\n
Make up a fun activity with your child such as food art on his or her plate.\u00a0 Have your child choose\u00a0three healthy foods to use in making his or her artwork. Then have fun eating what you made.<\/p>\n
For older kids, have them help out in the kitchen and get involved.<\/p>\n
