To be a son or daughter of God forever, it\u2019s important to ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins and tell Him that you believe that He is the Son of God.<\/p>\n

God\u2019s original plan was for all people to be with Him forever.<\/p>\n

But we messed it up because of sin.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Your sin (your disobedience to God) separates you from God.<\/p>\n

The punishment for sin is death. Jesus Christ (God\u2019s Son) never sinned. When He willingly gave up His life by death on a cross, He took the punishment for our sins.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut God shows His own love in this: <\/em>While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\u201d<\/em> Romans 5:8<\/p>\n

After Jesus died, He rose from the dead\u00a0showing God\u2019s power over all.<\/p>\n

<\/a>When Jesus died on the cross, He made a bridge to God.<\/p>\n

Now you can have a relationship with God.<\/p>\n

It starts when you believe that Jesus Christ is God\u2019s Son\u00a0who took the punishment for your sins.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Jesus said, \u201cI am the way, the truth, and the life. <\/em>No one can come to the Father <\/em>[God] except through Me.\u201d <\/em> John 14:8<\/p>\n

Ask Jesus Christ to be your God. And ask Him to forgive you of all your sins!<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just <\/em>to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.\u201d <\/em>1 John 1:9<\/p>\n

<\/a>That\u2019s the start! A<\/strong>sk, B<\/strong>elieve, C<\/strong>onfess!<\/p>\n

Prayer is just talking to Jesus. Tell Him about what you just read. A little nervous? Don\u2019t be.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an example of what you might say…<\/p>\n

Dear Jesus, I believe you are God\u2019s Son and that you died for my sins. Please forgive me. Thank you. I\u2019m going to need your help and want you to be in charge. Help me today.<\/em><\/p>\n

Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n
