Party Time!!

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with fun foods! In this special episode of R U Cooking? host Monique shares how to make three kinds of tasty Holiday Crescent Cups. Once you know how, you can put anything inside, making this a go-to recipe for your leftovers throughout the year!

Recipe in this episode:

Holiday Crescent Cups

Preparation:

1 package Crescent Rolls or Crescent Sheet for 8 Holiday Crescent Cups 

Unroll crescent roll package and form into a rectangle by straightening out the edges.  With a knife, cut across the center of the dough from left to right and make 3 cuts from top to bottom making 8 squares. (See video.)

If you are using a CUPCAKE PAN:

Place crescent roll square into a  greased cupcake pan by placing into a single spot with the edges over top 

Continue with remaining crescent roll squares. FILLING (varieties shown below): Fill ¾ of the way and bring corners up and seal.

If you are using a BAKING SHEET: Fill with 1 tablespoon of filling in center of square and bring edges together and seal. Space 2 inches apart.

Fillings shown on episode:

Mac & Cheese
1 ½ c cooked macaroni and cheese

2 Tbsp breadcrumbs for top

*Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top 

Taco Meat

2 C chopped ground beef with taco seasoning 

2 tbsp or more shredded cheese

*Add ground beef and sprinkle with shredded cheese, seal and add more shredded cheese to the top and seasoning if desired.

Ham & Cheese

1  C chopped deli ham (turkey, roast beef etc.)

½ C chopped cheese (american, provolone, mozzarella etc.)

Combine in a bowl.  For added flavor, make mustard, bbq square or desired condiment available after baking.

 

Additional Filling Options:

Scrambled egg, cheese & bacon for breakfast/brunch

Chopped hotdogs

 

Leftovers Filling Options: 

Chopped meatloaf

Mashed potatoes (with bacon or cheese)

Sausage & peppers

Cooked chicken & cheese

Fill with whatever you have!

Even do dessert!  Fill with canned pie filling!!!

 

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Using knife or fork, lift crescent cup up out of pan and check the bottom to see if it is cooked through. If not, add an additional 5-7 minutes.
