Recipes in this episode:

Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Refrigerated premade sugar cookie dough
  • ¼ Cup all purpose flour + ¼ cup for dusting counter & top of dough
  • Toppings you like

Instructions:

Step 1: In a medium bowl combine sugar cookie dough & ¼ Cup flour by hand until fully combined and there is no longer any flour visible.

Step 2: Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of flour on a clean counter or cutting board and place cookie dough on top. Sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough (just a dusting). Using a rolling pin or drinking glass, roll out cookie dough until you reach desired thickness.

Step 3: Cut out cookies

Step 4: Add the toppings. Depending on what kind of cookies you make, the toppings will be added either before or after you bake them.

For the following cookies, add the toppings before you bake them:

  • Sprinkles: Press sprinkles onto raw cookie dough
  • Stained Glass Cookies: Cut out center of cookie & fill with crushed Jolly Rancher Hard candies
  • M&M and Chocolate Chip – place on top of raw cookie dough, press down

For the following cookies, bake them first, then:

  • For Chocolate Dipped, melt cake frosting for 6 seconds in the microwave, Dip & add sprinkles!
  • Peppermint: crush candy canes and press into raw cookie
  • Kiss Cookies: Add sprinkles to unbaked cookie and when cookies come out of the oven, press hershey kiss into the center

Frosted Dream Ice Cream Dessert

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate syrup
  • Frozen container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Ice cream sandwiches – any flavor or combination of flavors

Instructions:

Step 1: Unwrap the ice cream sandwiches and place in the bottom on your pan, cut to fit if necessary.

Step 2: Put a layer of chocolate syrup on top of the ice cream sandwiches and spread with the back of a spoon to cover all the sandwiches.

Step 3: Take ½ the cool whip and spread on top of the syrup layer to cover completely.

Step 4: Repeat Layers on top of the cool whip.  Sandwiches, chocolate syrup and top with the rest of the cool whip.  Decorate with m&m’s chocolate chips, sprinkles, chopped candy bars, oreos… Be creative; it’s your ice cream cake!

Enjoy! Merry Christmas!
