Dressing for Work and Loving It

We asked Eagles Wings of Grace in Tucson, Arizona, to show us how they dress their guests to prepare for that important job interview. Frequently, their new friends come back after getting the job and are set up with clothes for a full two weeks of work!

There are many organizations like Eagles Wings that empower women with support and clothes for work. Look for them in your town. (Sorry to say, not many include Reach UP in their shopping bags — yet!)

These tips can help you put outfits together from your local thrift shop.Clothes can make a difference in your confidence as you walk in for an interview. When you look good, you feel good! R.E.S.P.E.C.T. works both ways.

Even working from home, I dress for work. Doing that shifts my attitude and helps me settle in for the job ahead. And yes, my outfits often come from Goodwill, and I am proud of it.Saving money and lookin’ good!

For a polished appearance, wear a camisole or tank top under sheer or low-cut dresses and shirts.

Dress up neutral outfits with a pop of color from accessories like shoes, scarves, belts, jewelry, or purses.

coral and black outfitFor a slimmer look, combine loose with fitted. Wear long, loose tops with fitted pants or wear fitted shirts with trousers or skirts. Avoid wearing tight tops with tight bottoms and loose tops with loose bottoms.
